Okay, i'm 16 and my boyfriend is 20. My mom knows and loves him, and is okay with us. Her and i have an agreement, that if i graduate high school when im 17 i can move out, and she knows it will be in with him. If we were to get married with her consent of course would that be automatic emancipation?

How to leave parents as a minor without divorcing them or emancipation as a minor?
Im 17 years old and have been looking to move out for years. My father is in jail and I live with my mom and step father but it isnt working out. At the moment things are relaxed and calm but thats why Im so intense about moving out.Problem is, if i just leave then my parents will send the cops out of put me on house arrest or something. They wont just let me leave. With emancipation, Im not getting married so I cant do that. With divorcing them, I cant prove any fights that have caused me to directly run away from them multiple times, and theres no literal abuse.They wouldnt allow me to leave or move out, but Im ready to take responsibility for myself. I'm 16 years ols and I have taken the California High School Proficency Exam that is equivalent to a high school diploma and i've been thinking of getting emancipated because i just recently got kicked out of my dads house because me and his girlfriend cant get along and i cant live with my mom because of her husband court orders that i cant live there so i live with my grandparents. I have a job set up like an hour away and a friend that needs a roomate and is willing to only charge me $200 for rent. The Califoria emancipation law states that you have to prove you can financially support yourself but my question is, would i be able to show the court that i have a job set up but havent been working yet and them still emancipate me?

I just turned 15 about 2 months ago and I'm having a hard time with my parents. We've never really gotten along all that well. Over the past few years, I've found myself coming up with more and more excuses to not come home. I never want to go home after school and dread getting off the bus. I also go to school early every day just to get out of the house and away from my mom. I want a break from my parents to cool down. They put a lot of stress on my life because of their style of parenting. They are not physically abusive, but the emotional stress they put on me has effected my life. I've gone from straight A's to B 's and C's. I also recently cut myself, 99.9 % of the thought process behind it was them and the restrictions and stress they put on me. I feel I can no longer be happy, get excited, do well in school or aspire to anything. I need a break but my parents would NEVER EVER let me live with anyone else for any period of time. We've gone to counseling for years and it doesn't help. They barely let me spend time at my friends houses. How can I get this break without my parents permission seeing as I am a minor and need their consent for almost everything?

My mom and I have MAJOR issues. We fight daily and she's always calling me out on things that I didn't do. She's always blaming me for things I didn't do and she always gets mad at me for no reason. She likes to start fights about things that happened awhile ago. My mom is also a little bit abusive. She's slapped me, hit me across the face, pulled my hair, and pushed me down before. She also calls me fat, bitchy, stupid, a dumb ass, ugly, etc. She constantly harasses me about my weight and how fat I am, even though I just recently suffered from anorexia. She's also mentally abusive and will come up on me like she's going to hit and she'll raise her hand like she's going to slap me and then she'll watch me flinch and then stop. Also one time she came up on me like she was going to hit me and then she punched my wall instead of me. It sucks and I hate it. My dad and I have a great relationship and I love him more than anything. He doesn't know about what my mother does because he works a lot and he's always out of town. I love him, but my mother...ugh I just can't stand her. In three months I'll have my license and a car and then I'll be able to drive, but I won't have anywhere to go. So what I'm wondering is if anyone knows anything about getting emancipated? I have money and everything, but I just can't find anything about emancipation online. And I was also wondering if it was possible to get emancipated from my mother and not my father? They're married, but I still want to be connected with my father. Also, I don't want to call CPS or Social Workers because I don't want to live in a foster home or anything. I just want to be free from my mother and live on my own. my girlfriend is in foster care and she is 16 and we have a baby together already. the foster parents are telling us how to raise our own daughter. she and the baby is getting really stressed out there and she wants to get out quick. so shes looking to get emancipated so her and our baby can live with me. how long will this take so she can get out. and will she get it. because we have a baby could this happen? she just cant take the stress there anymore. and we live in new york. its just hard for her their. so could she get emancipated?

What is the process like? I'm a 13 year old girl living in Lewiston Maine. Don't tell me anything like " it will get better" or " your stupid for doing this love your mother" my dad left me and I've never seen his face. My mother is i know just trying to protect me and make me safe but she's way overprotective I don't get to go anywhere or see anyone. Could I move to another state and live with my aunt? How do I find support like I have no idea what being able to support yourself is like. But I will. With a little help with research and answers. Any answers greatly appreciated except the mean answers or the trying to change my mind ones. I am very mature thank you By the way, I know you have to be 16 to get emancipated. Hello,My younger brother, who recently turned 16, is being forced by our manipulative lesbian parents to move with them to Oklahoma. They do not give a shit if he wants to go or not. They want to move there for a job, a new life, and retirement. This is perfectly okay, except that they are doing this beyond his will, and they are forcing him to leave his friends, school and family here in Oregon. He is a great kid, with so much potential, has good grades, does endless amounts of chores for their lazy asses, and is mature. I don't want him to go to Oklahoma if he doesn't want to, and its unfair to force a 16 year old, in the prime of their high school, to remove them from school before the school year has even ended. I believe that emancipation would be difficult, because the long term plan would be to live with our Grandma, which isn't independent, and hasn't had a job either. I don't believe the success in emancipation would be high. what are other options to help him get out of the situation?

I am 18 and i live in new york. I am going to college in august. I want to be emancipated from my parents because they are verbally abusive to me and each other. I go to therapy because of the stress they cause me. My boyfriend and i are going to get married if thats the only way to emancipate. From what i read i believe that if they are the cause of my emancipation that they have to support me still. Should i get a lawyer? Please help me.
