"father signing over parental rights in South Carolina?
is there paper work i can fill out and have the father sign that will take away his rights. I am now married to another man and the father of my child wants nothing to do with my son.

How to I terminate parental rights for my ex-husband that is in prison for having sex with a 15 year old girl?
My ex husband and I have been divorced for 3 years. During that time, he was convicted and sentenced to 10 years for having sex with a 15 year old girl. We have 2 daughters, ages 13 and 11. I have full legal custody of both. I am remarried now and the girl's new step dad wants to adopt them and they want their names legally changed. How do I terminate my ex's parental rights? He would never sign off on it willingly. I receive no child support from him and he is not allowed any contact with them per a court order.

Terminating parental rights?
my ex boyfriend daughters father has not seen our daughter since she was born and now she is 7 months old. He just now decided that he wants to give up all of his rights to her. I live in Bucks County PA and I need some advice to see what steps to take. I was going to go to doyelstown domestic relations with him and see what they say as far as signing over all his rights. Is this going to cost me money? what should I do??Im married to a man who takes care of her as if she was his own and I could honestly care less if he real father is involved and I do not need his support or help. I do not want anything from him ever.

My ex husband is trying to modify my parental rights due to my epilepsy .I have absence seizures any help woul?
They have added keppra to my daily regimen before this seizure i have not had a seizure for 5 years or longer .

What responsibilities do i still have after signing over my parental rights?
i want to give up my rights to a child that i have never seen and due to family situation can not afford, and do not have the strength to deal with the drama from the mother what can i expect if i sign over my rights

My babies father has never been involved from the moment I fell pregnant, how does he give up parental rights?
When I found out I was pregnant he then told me he was married with 2 children, and he wanted nothing to do with us. I am worried that one day he might come back and feel he can tell my son what to do and expect me to let him see my son. He has not financially contributed and I want a document to show he is not interested and does not want any responsibility. Can this happen?

What is the difference between terminating your parental rights and relinquishing them? I'm in Colorado?
My daughter's father is asking to remove himself from her life and he said he will not be willing to sign anything over to my fianc unless he knows he will not have to pay child support and ensure she will be out of his life forever. I just don't know what should be done in this situation.

How do you terminate your parental rights i have tried to do it online but it wont give the forms to me?
so my parents have my kids they had them for almost 2 years im trying to terminate my parental rights because i cant afford the child support they want me to do 180 days in jail i dont have a job and i dont want to end up in jail because ive never been. I just want to terminate my parental rights because my parents are never going to give them back so how do i do it

Can someone help me with a question I have over parental rights?
I have recently found out my ex partner is going to skip the country to live with her parents in Italy, taking our 3 years old daughter with her & without any consultation with me. I have a residence order from court Scotland which states I have my daughter 3 full days a week, overnight alternate christmas years & a fortnight in the summer. I have a court order because after a year of this arrangement being informal she suddenly & without reason stopped all access I had with her. This forced me into a costly court case which, thank God I won. This has left me in no doubt she is fully capable of moving abroad & leaving me without access to my daughter. Do I have any rights under Scots law which would prevent her from making such a move & if so what are they? I would be eternally grateful for any information folk may have on this matter.

I want to give up my parental rights to my daughter, how do I go about doing so?
I have a 12 yo daughter who I have full shared custody of but don't see her any more because her mom is always bringing a different male into her life every few weeks. I gave her physical custody of our duaghter cause at the time of our divorce she was way too young 5 and I felt it was best for her to stay with her mother. boy was I wrong. The only request I had was I have access to my daughter anytime I want. I use to work 12 hr days just so I would have enough money to fly and see her every 2 or 3 weeks cause I didn't want her growing up not knowing her father. To make a long story short she gave her custody to me when she was 9 and her email read " you always wanted to play dad here is your chance" . The mistake I made was I didn't go to court and change custody on paper. I use to fly for every holiday and birthday to see her cause I couldn't stand being away from her for special occasions. so, when one of the holidays came up I told her mom, she really misses you and would love to see you but her mother said it wouldn't be worth the prices of a ticket for just 4 days. but when I just couldn't stand my daughter crying anymore and learned that her mom had told her " go to your father's I'm not giving him physical custody in court so, when I get a ring out of this new guy and know for sure that we're getting married, I'll take you back...but don't tell your father this." That was back a few years ago....I haven't seen my daughter or heard from her in over a year. The last time I spoke to her and learned her mother and her step dad were making decisions without consulting me I asked her why she didn't call me and her reply was my mom says " you don't have to ask your father he's not here and what he says doesn't matter anyway" So, since I no longer matter and am not allowed to hear from my daughter or see her I'm thinking of giving up my parental right. I know that's what her mother wants and has asked for several times but I had been fighting for my daughters sake and her future but now I don't think it matters to her either. As she said I'm not there so i don't matter.Thank you, to everyone for the encouraging words....believe me when I say my babygirl means more to me then anything in the world. There is so much more that goes with this situation that I left out. I was in court and my daughter did tell the judge that she wants to live with me but the judge sided with her mother saying that an 11 what my daughter was at the time isn't old enough to make that call. But apprently she's old enough to take to bars and leave sleeping in the back of the car while the mother is getting piss drunk inside with her bf. She's also old enough to be left with strangers her bfs roommate and told not to call your father . The system is F'd up and made for lawyers and social workers to keep their jobs it has nothing to do with what's best for the child. What the child needs is structure, a proper routine, neutrition and be tucked in every night at a decent hour. she's alone in the mornings and in the evenings not allowed to eat u

Can a fathers parental rights be terminated if statutory rape in california?
This is about my son and girlfriend. He is 25 she is 16, i know i know awful but thats not the point. She got pregnant at 15. Her parents are making her put the baby up for adoption, yes shes gonna do it to make them happy, they have a couple ready waiting to adopt for the birth in 1 month. My son wants custody, our whole family wants this baby. We are good people. my son has made a mistake yes but he is a good person. He has a clean record, not even a misdemeanor. There plan is to get his parental rights terminated by pressing charges for statutory rape, and saying he lied about his age. They will most likely get my sons girlfriend to go along with it. She was never forced or hurt, my son treated her amazing. She told her parents she did not know about his age but she really did . He has a full time job. And has support from my entire family. He has not gone to court about the statutory rape, no court date, the police are aware and are investigating. There has been no charges yet. I know there will be soon. The mother his girlfriend does not want the baby, she only wants adoption. Does he still have rights if convicted of statutory rape.? What are his rights? Will a judge terminate his rights? Can they give the baby for adoption without my sons consent?

Should i strip my X of his parental rights? (for 10pts)?
My husband wants to adopt my 2 year old daughter. My X refuses. Yet has never paid a cent for child support. He wouldn't pay for her health insurance when we were married, yet he earned 90k a year. My X lives and works in Britain. He has never seen my daughter since our split when she was 10 months old. We have tried Skpying him to reassure him that my husband is a good man, but he continues to refuse to grant him custody or allow him to adopt. Yet wants to have a relationship with my toddler via Facebook only We completely refused that. We offered skyping her under our supervision and sending pictures of her ever 3 months. He has stopped answering my emails for the last two months we are no longer having our Skype meetings. I know he's alive and well and having a wonderful time with his new family. When we told him that our daughter had been in the hospital he didn't even flinch or ask for her progress. That is one of the reasons why my husband needs to have rights over her, so that he can make medical emergency decisions, amongst other things if i'm not around.Yet the X continues to refuse. Our lawyer says we should flat out strip him of his rights and have my hubby adopt her. Which I WOULD LOVE And i know she would too.All that is required is to serve him with the notice. But his signature or consent aren't even required, according to the lawyer. I would love to do that, but i fear his family retaliating against me and my family. His sister has a lot of money and i fear they'll do something to us, if i were to strip him.Would you just strip him? What would you do?With his behavior do you think he'd be angry?Serious answers please. Thank you

How can i take my ex husbands parental rights away he has failed to see his kids for four years by his choice?

I am trying to get the parental right of my ex for my 3 year old daughter, however?
I am afraid if we have to go to court my ex will try and pull some kind of BS as she usualy does. My ex has not seen my daughter in over a year and has agreed to sign over her parental rights. How do I go about it without having to go before a judge. Is there a way to get papers she can sign to give me her parental rights? will the parental rights mean that she can not attempt to obtain my daughter in any way. Just to clarify my ex has never seemed to have any interest in being with my daughter, she took me to court after 3 months of playing a disheartening act, leaving me alone to take care of the child without so much as a letter to us. I came home one day and was served by her uncle, later in court she had claimed the only reason she had even filed for custody was because she had heard I had a new girlfriend......this was entirely untrue. Then in the end I won full physical custody and 50 legal custody. She was bitter about this and spiteful toward me though she couldnt have taken care of my daughter regardless do to her party and drinking habits. She thad gotten into a relationship with a convicted sex offender and that is primarily how I won the case. she has probably only seen her once within a years span and does not ask to see her. As I stated she had agreed to sign over parental rights but I do not trust her, she has pulled things like this in the past. Is there a way to get her parental right voluntarily without having to go through another court case. such as sign written documentation stating she gives up her parental rights and maybe having a judge go over it and sign it?I say my child because she has been absent for my child's entire life. My fiance is the one that took her in as her own and did whatever she could for her when in reality she had no obligation to this child whatsoever. Even though yes biological my ex is her mother, She is not her child regardless of what anyone may say. A Parent will do whatever it takes to stay in there child's life and make sure they are given a proper and prosperous life. This is something my ex had not even attempted. My daughter has no idea who her Biological mother is, She is 4 years old and my fiance is her mother as far as she is concerned. My ex made that decision to abandon my child on her own and even though my Fiance is my daughters mother we will not hide the truth of her birth. We will make sure that she knows of her mother, when she gets older, if she decides to seek her out, then so be it. As for now I need to do whats right for my lil girl.
