Reliable broadband router information
I found a linksys wireless-G broadband router wrt54G and I connected it, it say I got singal but I cant surf?
I have singal, My Mac connects to it but I can't go to no website. Am I doing something wrong beside not having service It's connected with a Ethernet n powercord

i got it used from a friend and i plugged it and it had his info so he just gave me the password and it worked great for about 2 months and i have it plugged also to my house computer and that still has internet but my laptop doesn't even recognize it when i scan for connection. and i cant find how to manage it from my home computer. I TRIED THE RESET BUTTON ON THE BACK BUT IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING...i type in 192.168.1.1 into my browser and when i typed my password the page went blank . it just say setup on the tab and that's it

Is it possible to reset a router for broadband if it is corrupted? A red light keeps coming up on my router which means the Internet connection has failed. Unfotunately this happens all the time at the moment. I have a feeling there may be a problem with the router and that it may be corrupted. Is there a reset button on routers? Thank you.
Need to remove firewalls from bt broadband router?
I have been trying to get " TV on demand" through my Grundig Freesat box. Specifically BBC iplayer, I keep getting " not connected" .I am using a pair of network plugs for internet connectivity for my desktop and I am simply unplugging the cable from the computer and plugging it into the Freesat box. At this point the indicator on the network plug for connectivity goes out. I have spoken with the Freesat helpline and also with the Grundig helpline. Both parties are convinced that there are Firewall issues with my router.So I have BT Broadband and am using a Homehub 3.0 with settings Type A.As yet we do not have Infinity in this area although I am using the hub for same.Speaking with BT call centre gave me no satisfaction probably because of dialect mis understanding.My question. How can I remove the offending firewall.Please aim your answers at someone who is not really IT literate.Thanks,Bilbow

I am looking for a wireless broadband router that is compatible with a Novatel 3G USB Modem. Preferrably under $50 and works well. And I don't buy online. I need something that is at Best Buy, Future Shop, Walmart, The Source and stores like that in Canada.Any ideas?

Ok, so on my wireless linksys router, it has in the access and restrictions tab and theres a policy scroll down thing. I added two different ones so my younger brother has a curfew, but it makes the policy on us both. No matter what I do it wont assign me to the one I made just for myself. I even put in the right IP address in the specify an ip box. Can anyone help?

I finally upgraded and got a total package with AOL broadband , router and everything but its slower help?
ok before i was on an outdated dial up internet with a modem and no router , i was still on AOL but my internet was slow and eventually i thought its time for an upgrade . so i got their finest package , they provided me with a router and i did away with my old fashioned modem ....... so here i was expecting my internet to be much better and faster ... well as an understatement its slower , and it now takes me a good 15 minuted just to start it all up never mind searching on the internet but for the record that's way slower too . so facts you need to know before answering 1. i have scanned and fixed any registry issues and fixed any that there was2. i have good virus protection , scanned and no issues found 3. i have anti malware protection , scanned and no issues found so what could be slowing my computer ? why has this all not made it better?
