I've been told by sky that my maximum broadband speed is just 200KBs. Obviosuly I don't get the full amount either it's more like 170KBs. Downloads take forever, I can't play online and no more than one person can use the internet at the same time. Sometimes my speed gets as low as 100KBs and will stay there until I ring them up again. Are these speeds unacceptable and Is sky in breach of contract? ThanksI pay 7.99 a month for unlitmied internet. My estimated speed is upto 1.5mb s which in my opinion isn't good enough for anyone. Surely paying the same as everyone else for shuch a slow speed is unfair.

Can anyone suggest any ways to improve my broadband speed? According to several broadband tests, my broadband for download and upload is usually 0.6mbps with Sky, but everyone in my area Burnham On Sea in Somerset has much higher speeds. Anyone have any suggestions?

How can i make my broadband speed fast again?
Last week my BT broadband and phone line went down. It was a fault to do with the cable outside the house coming from the telegraph pole. BT took 3 days to fix it and now that they have fixed it, the broadband has come back on but is very slow. for normal webpages it is fine but for things like youtube and other video websites, it takes 5 minutes just to load a 30 second video and its being really laggy. before the line went down the speed was fast and i could click on a youtube video and watch it straight away without having to wait for it to load and i could watch the whole thing without it stopping to buffer. i dont know why its being so slow any suggestions on how to make it faster like it was?? its been at least 48 hours since it came back online

And im soon to take package of 4mbps, where u can download 8gb max. then it'll turn back to 256kbps..Soo if i have 4mbps, what will be approx download rate?Cant i have download rate of 4mbps?

Virgin Media Broadband Speed Upgrades?
Hello everybody. I have recently read that Virgin Media is planning to upgrade their broadband packages by at least double the speed. So since I am currently an existing customer on the 10Mb s L package I will get 20Mb s soon. But I want to upgrade to 30Mb s since it is only 7.50 more and it will get 60Mb s when the time for the speed upgrades come. That's a difference of 40Mb for 7.50.If I upgrade now will the prices stay the same when the speeds are upgraded? I really want to have 60Mb s for only 28.50 But I am worried that this is to existing customers currently on the packages. I do not want to be stuck on the 30Mb s broadband or pay more for it...
