Do mobile broadband sticks work with routers?
I'm getting at& t and its most likely going to come with a mobile broadband stick from what I've heard now I have 2 laptops and I want to connect both to the internet but I can only get one of these devices I was wondering if I got a router could I hook it to a wireless router to broadcast the signal through my house so me and my mom can both share the internet at the same time without having to interchange the device? I also plan to hook my ps3 and xbox 360 to this router to play games online. And could you recommend a router that works well with alienware coustom built computers I don't know much about computers and would like the best for my money. Before you ask that one mobile stick cost 150 $'s and with a special promotion its only going to cost 50 in the long run and I so will the router so for the price of both these items plus another I could only afford 1 of the former so do you see why I'm trying to find a better solution? Jorge I am trying to make it so that my mom and me can connect to the internet via one stick so we can use it in separate rooms putting them together via Ethernet is not the best solution for me it was how I was planning to hook my PS3 & Xbox360 to the internet though. In summary I want to able to freely move about my house with no wires while still being able to connect to the internet without being in the same room and if someone besides my mother uses my laptop I want to still be able to connect to Xbox live or PS network. The best way I can think of to do that is to have a router. Now my question that is still unanswered is " CAN A MOBILE BROADBAND DEVICE WORK ON A ROUTER WITHOUT THE USE OF A LAN LINE" though I do appreciate you informing me that a router is a router and it doesn't matter about customization at all like I said I'am still new to complex internet networking. The modem stick to router to internet connection is the only thing left unanswered and the
3 mobile broadband dongle won't work, can I return it?
Got a premium dongle on 3 network, have set it up correct on 2 pc's and a laptop, even though it connects, it wont open pages on internet at all, get google page up then that's it, so it has been 'used' in effect, the lights on dongle are correct as well, its really annoying and paying 17.00 a month for this and can't use it I know their policy is you cant return it once used but we haven't really used it because it wont work, is this a PC issue or a dodgy dongle or crap 3G connection even though all the bars on dashboard are up to full strength? Have I rights to return it?Got it two weeks ago online order, haven't took it to a 3 shop yet, was hoping it may be a PC set up problem that someone could help me with?

How to turn mobile broadband into a wifi hotspot?
I am currently living in a place where it is impossible to get a phone line, i use mobile broadband on an unlimited browsing plan. I would like to get my playstation online, not for online gaming as such but just so i have access to dlc and general browsing on my tv. One of my friends has said there is a devise that exists that works as a wireless router for mobile broadband but i have been unable to find any such device. You cannot put a mobile broadband dongle in anything that cant install the software for it inc playstations so what im really looking to do is find a way to turn the dongle into a hotspot of some kind. I can do this with my phone but i only get 1 gb of data allowance so its not much good.
