What are some cool ideas for ceiling fan pulls?
If you dont know what im talking about im talking about the little things at the end of the two chains that hang down from you ceiling fan. One chain is for the light and the other for the fan speed. My brother is the one who needs something but he doesn't know what to put. What could he use, anything that you think would be good for this will work. Thx for ur help.
Ceiling fan pull chain issues?
the pull chain on my fan broke but being the dummy i am i instantly removed the pull chain switch before remembering the wire routs... i have a new pull chain switch im trying to reinstall... can anyone tell me how to do this with out killing my self???? REMEMBER i do NOT know how the wired first were first placedthank u all who attempt to help it is greatly appreciated
The Chain on my Ceiling fan pulled out of it's hole (to change from off-on-lo-hi). What to do? It's on high!

Trying to change a ceiling fan pull chain switch...?
Please bare with me because I know close to nothing about electrician work. So, obviously there are 4 wires.. 2 black, 1 red, and 1 gray. The 2 black and 1 red are coming from a little black box. and the gray wire is coming from elsewhere by itself. On the pull chain switch it has L, 1, 2, & 3. My problem is that I can't figure out the combination of which wires go where. I didn't think to record where each wire came from when I took them out of the broken switch. Please help Thanks.

my ceiling fan has two pull chains. one that controls the light and one that controls the fan. i accidently pulled off the chain that controls the fan. i can still see the remaining chain inside the fan. how do i fix this???
Help replacing ceiling fan pull chain?
First of all, is it okay just to turn off the power at the wall switch, or do I have to turn off the breaker switch? One of the wire nuts inside joins four wires with one from the pull chain. Do I need to re strip all those four, or can I just replace them in the nut with the new pull chain wire?Thanks

I got angry while i was sleeping and ripped the chain out of my ceiling fan, and now i want the wonderful air that i loved so much back I had a complete stupid moment when trying to fix it and put the wires in wrong, but i don't remember where they were suppose to go. I think my fan is a Hunter fan, but I'm not sure. The wire colors are blue, purple, and yellow tho, and it's a 3 speed fan with a lighting fixture built in. Please someone help me figure this out, if not just a random color guess give me something...
