Help with ceiling fan wiring?
My wife picked up a ceiling fan from a friend. However the only information that I can get off the fan is that it has a model ELD52BB. A web search finds nothing on this model. This ceiling fan is rated at 120 volts, 60HZ & 3.05amps. It has four wires white, black, blue & green. The wall switch rated 120V & 60HZ it has two knobs one for the fan rated 3 amp max & one for the light and is rated 300 Watt Max. The ceiling box has two sets of wiring one set that is wrapped with a white cover has a white, black & copper. The second set that is wrapped with a black cover has a white, black, red & copper. Could someone please help me figure out how I'm suppose to connect all of the wires.

New ceiling fan wiring. no existing light or box in ceiling?
I am reposting but with greater detail... I am trying to figure out the best way to wire a ceiling fan. Currently there is a light switch as you walk in the room. That light switch turns on and off an outlet that is on the wall, no light fixture on the ceiling. What would be the best way to run the wiring so that I can have 2 switches there one that turns on and off the original outlet on the wall and the other to turn on and off the ceiling fan? Please explain in a simple way for a beginner lol, but thorough. Thanks
Help with ceiling fan wiring?
I'm trying to install a ceiling fan but I'm having trouble with the wiring. Coming out of the fan I've got a black, white, black and white striped, and a green wire. coming out of the cieling i've got a black, a white and a red wire. The fan's green wire is connected to the bracket as a ground, so that's out of the way. It's the other wires that confuse me. I've tried, white to white, black to black, and B& W striped to red, but that didn't do anything.Any ideas? Thanks.

Ceiling fan wiring?
I am putting a fan in a new house. the house has the 3 wire setup white, black, red the location is setup for two switches, one fan one light. normally i would have this fan up but i am debating on what to do because this fan also comes with a remote control that we want to use...it has a transmitter with the white and black going in, and the white, black, and blue for the light coming out to go to the fan assembly. i know the white will connect to white and the black to the black, however my questions is if i still want the light on its own switch would i bypass the transmitter and connect the red straight to the blue? therefore the switch would still work however, the remote will control the fan but not the light? that would be fine but is there a way where i can keep the remote working for the light and fan, as well as two siwtches?

Ceiling fan wiring question...?
It looks as if I have two sets of black white wires coming into the ceiling fan box at the ceiling. I set is attached to the wall switch and I am assuming the other is a set used to hot wire the fan. My question is where do I connect all of the wires? The fan has green ground , white neutral , black fan , and blue light .I tried switch black to blue, " hot black" no wall switch to black for fan and all neutrals together, and ground of course. This got the fan working the way I wanted but the light isn't working.Help?

Ceiling Fan Wiring - 2 wall switches?
So I have 3 new ceiling fans to replace 3 old ceiling fans. All three existing ceiling fans have 2 wall switches, one for the light, one for the fan.I actually bought 3 different fans. Only 1 of the 3 worked with both wall swtiches, one for light, one for fan. All 3 fans are wired the same and I can't figure out why one works and two don't. I took one of the ones that only worked on one wall switch and bought the same fan that worked on 2 switches and it works just like the other one There is nothing telling me that one ceiling fan will work with 2 switches vs. 1 switch. Any ideas? All the ceiling fans are pull chain types. I have the fan and light " On" . When I turn on one of the wall switches but the fan and light turn on. The other switches basically does nothing. One the one that works, both light and fan are ON. But one switch will turn the light on and off and the other switches turns the fan on and off.
