I want to have two fans in my house on remote control, with wall switches they need to operate independently.I've got Hampton Bay remote kits that include a remote, wall switch controller and a controller that goes up in the fan itself. There are 5 DIP switches in the remote and the switch and none in the black box that goes in the fan.It seems that it only works when switches 1 4 are in the ON position, the 5th switch labelled X does nothing it seems.So right now it seems there is no way to differentiate between fans and the one in the bedroom and the one in the living room go on and off simultaneously.

I have a Hapmton Bay ceiling fan. It's 7 yrs old. It's a Redington IV 082392 355548 One day I go to flip the wall switch on and nothing works. No fan or lights. The wall switch, chains or remote will not make it work.I have a friend who is an electrician. He checked my electrical and it's all fine.It has a lifetime warranty on the motor.The manufacturer, King of Fans, who made this particular model wants me to pay 30.00 for shipping I have to pay to get it thereI can't afford itIs it possible to just purchase the motor? Disassembling Hampton Bay ceiling fan?
I am disassembling my ceiling fan after the ball bearings ceased up and i got down to the motor and the mount that has the pull cord to turn the light on or off it is mounted to a brass bracket on the ceiling and it has no more screws and won't budge, what do I do next, how do i separate the bracket that is on the ceiling from the motor?

I have an old fan and the remote is shot. I bought a new remote, but it seems to be the kind that converts a pull chain fan into a remote controlled fan. I press the buttons, the little red light goes on, but the fan does nothing. Yes the switch is on. Does anyone have any info about this?

I have just purchased a new Hampton Bay Ceiling fan w lights to replace my old ceiling fan w light. Once i placed all the wires back where they were, with the new fan, my circuit breaker would trip without any power going to the fan lights... I took it out and put my old fan in and it works just fine... Why does the circuit breaker keep tripping with the new fan??

The previous home owners had all the celing fans installed with remote controls. The fans do not work manually, only with the remotes. One of the remotes stopped working a couple of days ago. The battery is new but there is no signal to the fan.My question is...Is there any way to override the remote to use the pull cords manually? If not, is there any way to reset the remote? If you have had this problem, what was the solution? Thanks
