How do I wire my Hunter remote control ceiling fan?
I am in the process of changing the remote control receiver on my ceiling fan but the wire colors don't match. The receiver has six wires black, white, yellow, pink, gray, and black gray . The fan also has six wires but different colors yellow, red, pink, gray, white, and black white . The two wires coming from the ceiling are black and white. What wires go where?

I am replacing a ceiling fan, I disconected the old fan and installed the black wire and white wire to the fan according to directions...i had a red wire coming from the ceiling and I capped that one. The fan did not work... On the wall I had a fan speed switch and a seperated fan light dimmer..when I opened the wall box the dimmer had 2 black wire connected and the fan speed switch there was a black wire connected and a red wire connected....there are no white wires connected. So where is the white wire in the ceiling used for ? and how do I bypass a switch if the remote can be powered on and off by remote control.

We bought a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with a remote control kit for our bedroom since the light switch didn't have a separate fan switch. We decided after a few months it was just too big and put it in the livingroom. We actually have the fan and light switch in there. Can we use the fan and wire it like any regular one without having to use the remote? Do we have to use it?? Unfortunatley we lost the instructions and I looked online and can't figure it out. Thansk
Need help installing a remote controlled ceiling fan?
I am trying to install a remote controlled ceiling fan. I am installin git in my bedroom where there was already a fan at one time. It has a light attached to it as well. I think where my problems lay is I have 2 switches on my wall, and I know with the remote fan one has to be dead. Coming from my ceiling I have a Green ground, black, white and red wire. Then coming from the remote receiver box I have a green,a white labled Motor N, a Black labled Motor L, a blue labled light, a red labled AC in N, and a red labled AC in L Then from the fan motor I have a white, a black, a blue, and a green. The only thing I know for sure is the 3 green all go together. please help, and spell it out for me slowly...I am so confused at this point. Thanks so much for any and all help. Deb
Why does my remote controlled ceiling fan keep shutting itself off?
I have had this ceiling fan for 10 years. It's the kind with the pull chains but it also has a remote. I always leave the pull chain set to high and just turn the fan on and off with the remote. Some days it stays on all day and I have no problems. Other days, I will turn it on and every 10 minutes or so it will spontaneously turn off again. It's driving me nuts What's the deal?

I purchased a remote control ceiling fan from Lowe's a while back. I installed it myself however, the fan speeds work fine on the remote but the lights will not come on . I have a double light switch on the wall. One turns the fan on or off and the other turns the lights on or off. I can turn the fan on and off with one switch , but the lights will not come on at all with the other switch. Please help , its been one year since the lights have worked in our master bed room and my wife is starting to look at me very strange Also , does this have anything to do with the codes setting on the box. It seems to me if the fan speeds respond from the remote, the lights should come on as well. HELP

Hi recently my fan started acting weird? The dimmer on the remote does not work, it only turn the lights on and off. Also it wont turn on the fan. I checked all the jumpers and they match up. Ive also put fresh batteries in it too.
