Tips to make a christmas tree stand from home?
Boyfriend came home with a christmas tree last night and all my x mas stuff is in another state where i used to live. Dont feel like driving 10 miles to go buy one is there any tips to make one out of stuff from my basemet? got lots of wood and stuff
How do you make a half barrel into a christmas tree stand? I can't find one wide enough for my stand to fit in?
I have a 7.5 ft artificial tree with a standard " X" folding stand. I've seen pictures of trees in galvanized buckets and half whiskey or wine barrels. I would like to recreate this look but can't find one that my stand will fit into. Any suggestions?

Where can I find a Christmas tree stand with a removable reservior?
I will be putting up a live Christmas tree in my house for the first time this year, and I would really like to buy a Christmas tree stand that comes with a removable container for water that I can fill in the sink. My parents bought one a few years ago and it made keeping the tree watered very easy. So far, all I have been able to find is the Swivel Straight Tree Stand, and I can only find that on eBay where bidding keeps going quite high. The one my parents have looks a little different, so I do not think the Swivel Straight is the only such stand out there.Does anyone know of either other stands with removable reservoirs or other places to buy a Swivel Straight?I checked both the Lowe's and Home Depot web sites and went to Lowe's in person, and I did not see any tree stands with removable reservoirs. Lowe's had two stands called " ultimate" Christmas tree stands. Both were cheap basic stands with no easy way to add water.
Should a real Christmas tree stand in water prior to it coming inside?
I am getting a real Christmas tree I remember from when I lived at home we would buy a tree then stand it in a bucket of water outside for a few days before we put it up. Does anyone know if this helps or was it just a way to delay putting the tree up from me mum and dad ?
