What is a good website for horse tack?
so have a small pony that i want to spoil i know he doesn't need it but i want to get him new things.i want to get him some thing like a numnah or boots, but it would be good if it was cheep well it needs to be thxs very much please make some suggestion on what i should get as well
Selling my horse tack?
I have a circle y saddle, that's in really good conditionits, its my nanas old saddle its seriously like 15 years old, and im also going to sell my old pad and bridle all together, i was just wondering on how much i could sell it for, im going to upload a picture of my saddle and the bridle is a one ear and the pad is just plain redHere's the link to my saddle flickr.com photos 68297242 N05 6215483017 I'm only selling it because i dont use the bridle or pad and my saddle unfortunately does not fit my horse and is starting to rub on her.
Mixing up horse tack?
When I handle a horse, I tend to rein it English style. Does it matter if I use Western Tack on it? I dont plan to event, or anything, and my horse will only be used as a pleasure horse, for riding and such.Will it confuse the horse at all? I'm asking, because I'm able to get good Western Tack for free. Obviously, free tack vs. 1k tack is an obvious choice..
What are ways to save money when buying horse tack and stuff?
I have the money for a horses tack and other stuff but with the economy how it is I would still like to save and get good things. I was looking at buying grooming stuff and 15 dollars for a body brush is pretty expensive. so I figured I can buy just a normal human hair brush and comb for my horses mane and tail and just go to Walmart garden section and get buckets. ect and I don't want to take short cuts with actual riding tack because quality needs to be the best there for a happy horse but what are other horse gear I can save money by getting something that works the same even though it isn't labeled as a horse thingAlso when I go to pick out tack from my local tack shop. should I just go look around and then ask if I can bring my horse in to see what fits? or should I call up now and ask if I can set up a time to see what saddles, ect fit?
How to clean mildew horse tack..blankets and even leather saddle...?
My brother had all my horse tack stored for me in a shed. He lives in a damp area of the state by Seattle, wa . He didn't realized there was a leak in roof. I just retrieved my stuff today. My saddle, brand new saddle pads, winter blankets and even the leather of reins are moldy smelling with spots of mildew on them. I have a braided hackamore the is awful with mold. It's all hand braided on nose band...I would love to save it as it was the first piece my husband did himself . I am going to try to wash the " washable" stuff...but what can I do with the leather to remove spots and smell? Thanks in advance.
How to make my own horse tack?
Hi guys can anyone give me an idea on how to start making my own horse stuff?Like blankets day sheet & stable rugs etc , numnah's saddle pads , halters, pretty patterned brow bands, etc etc.... its for myself as to keep cost of buying this equipment down.Would a normal, everyday sewing machine be able to handle making things like horse blankets and saddle pads? Any links, ideas or advice is MUCH appreciated
Where to buy leopard horse tack?
I'm on a search for basically anything & everything that comes in a leopard pattern that can be used in the show arena. Im looking for the basic tack, headstalls bridles, saddle blankets, bell boots, splint boots, reins, halters, ect.. So far the only good site I've found is The Haughty Horse, & I've searched eBay. But if anyone out there knows of a different website I can check out, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

Buying horse tack? What do I need?
Hi so I'm gettin a horse. I need to know what kind of grooming tack I need. I also need to know what type of horse tack I need. I think we have a file and clippers. I won't need mats for the horse either. I think we have a halter and bridle that might fit him. I ride western. I have never tried english. Thanks. Also I have a saddle blanket from my aunt coming. If anyone know of a full set bag on amazon please let me know.This is my first horse. I had a horse when I was little. My mom is mad at me and won't let me have any of her old tack or tell me what is in it. I've got over a week and we are going to get get the tack tomorrow. I live with my grandparents they haven't had horses for a while now. They've both groomed a horse before and I know a little I just need to know what I need for now.I ride western and I won't ride englishYes I know how to take care of it. I have plenty of ranchers in town if I need advice. My grandparents have tooken care of horses before. They got rid of the supplies. They've forgotten what the grooming supplies where its been a few years and if any thing has changed. I've just got to give my mom some time to cool down then she'll help. Now please stop asking if I know how to take care of one.

what are some things at home you can u use to moisturize horse take? like olive oil? petroleum jelly? what works? what do u use? nothing that you have to buy though
How can i customize my horses tack?
