Should i buy a jolly ball?
My horse is a huge goof and loves to play around, especially with buckets. I want to get him something that he can play with but not destroy. Should i get a jolly ball or just get a large rubber ball from target or something since its cheaper and doesn't have the handle. i've heard some pretty negative things about jolly balls but i need more opinions. thanks in advance D
Stall entertainment for a horse that will not play with jolly balls?
Any suggestions for stall entertainment for a horse that will not play with jolly balls? She just looks at them like " you want me to play with that? hahahaha funny" . She is stabled for right now as recent rains have turned the pastures super muddy and horses at our barn do not do 24 7 turnout in the winter plus it would destroy the pastures . She is overweight so I'm leery of a Lick It as I've been told they are just like candy and horses will go through them quickly. Any suggestions? If there are any toys like a lick it that cannot be eaten in 10 minutes I will look into them. She wolfs down her hay. She has a hay rack in her stall hay is kept above stalls and is thrown down through holes above the racks and I plan to line it with a hay net with small holes. I did not cut out concentrated feed. I'd prefer to at least use the last of it instead of letting it all go to waste. Also she is getting so little of it that I highly doubt it is causing her an issue with weight. It is mostly too keep her happy during feed time she gets a very very small amount of a low protein feed .
Stuff to keep my horse entertained & how to use a jolly ball?
I am getting a horse this week, and will be boarding him in a 12x24 outdoor stall. Since it is 12x24, it's going to be a bit roomy. I will be going to the barn 4 6 times a week, but what can I get him so that he is entertained? I was looking at jolly balls... I was thinking they would be great.. but how would you use one, and how would you teach your horse to use one?Any other ideas on how to keep the horse entertained? And how to use a jolly ball? Thanks.. The third answer I know he isn't a dog. I just thought maybe he would use the jolly ball and would appreciate something to do as i will not be there sometimes, and many of the horses at my barn suffer from cribbing, stalling, etc. because they are stressed out. Also, I have noticed those ones are the ones with nothing to do. He is going to live in an outdoor paddock.. I just call it an outdoor stall.

Would my colt enjoy a jolly ball?
I'd love to get my colt a jolly ball, but before I spend the $25 or so on it I was just wondering if it's something the majority of foals like or just some of them and how long he will like it for, do they enjoy playing with them at any age or do they kind of outgrow it and not want to play with it after a while?Gee thanks, if I knew the answer would I be asking??Do very many horses like to play with the ones that don't have a handle?
