Replacement parts for magnetic exercise bike?
Hi all,The other day while busying away on the exercise bike, there was a great almighty clunk sound and the resistance in the pedals ceased. The magnetic bike is a Marcy modelWe opened it up today and found a metal cable has snapped connecting a small white plastic wheel at the front of the bike to a magnetic strip near the back of the bike. The cable has snapped at the front end where it connects to the small white plastic wheel. The purpose of this part seems to be pulling the cable so the magnetic strip is pulled up and thus can apply resistance on the pedal wheel and going by the nuts of bolts of it one can easily remove the cable, presumably for the purpose of replacing if it ever need to be.My father looked at it and said something similar on actual bikes could be used but the ends of the cable are of the same dimensions on actual bikes and that isn't the case for this exercise bike.What I want to know is if there is anyway I can buy a replacement part of this cable and if so from where? We've been looking around online and haven't come up with much. Thanks.

for example if the display reads 1.8 is that 18 calories or 1 and 1 8 of anoter calorie obviously i have the display set to calorie mode
Recently bought the pro fitness magnetic exercise bike form Argos and cant assemble it!?
recently bought the pro fitness magnetic exercise bike form Argos, but am having problems assembling it. It says you have to disconnect the resistance adjustment from the trimming lead before putting the trimming lead through the handlebar post hole and reconnecting again. Cant get them disconnected as its in tension. Has anyone else bought and assembled this?

i got it assembled quite easily but the tension level does not alter when I change it via the dial. its the same on all levels. could I have it wired up wrong

my friend's mom has a prosthetic artificial mechanical heart valve St jude . is it safe for her to exercise on MAGNETIC resistance stationary exercise bike? i mean will there be any adverse interaction between the metallic heart valve and the bike's magnet?
