I want to buy a recumbent bike. I am considering the Nautilus 2000 or the Vision Fitness 2150 or 2200. They all have similar features, so I am inquiring primarily about the quality of the bike and comfort with extended use.Guys, I appreciate the " outside sentiment" , however, I live in Houston. Riding a bike outside here will get you 1 killed and 2 skin cancer. Anyone know anything about specific brands of INSIDE exercise bikes. Thanks.
My Schwinn 226 recumbent exercise bike is acting up- it's only giving a portion of the resistance it used to?
My bike is only giving about half or less of the resistance it used to for a given difficulty level. The computer then reports calories burned miles, etc., according to the level that is set instead of the actual work done. There is no mechanical noise of any kind. Apparently the computer is telling the magnetic flywheel to engage less resistance than it should. I've searched the net but have only come up with troubleshooting advice for no power or worn belts.Any suggestions?

Schwinn 220 or 240 recumbent exercise bike comparison?
I'm looking at getting one for weight loss general fitness. And was looking between these two models. The 240 has some additional programs, a heavier flywheel and a color screen but I'm not sure if any of that will make any difference to me. Anyone have the 220 and can provide some opinions? I had hoped to find both at a store to compare but I can't seem to find both at one location. They either have various combinations of the Schwinn models, but never those two side by side. If anyone knows a store in the Philly suburbs, I'd appreciate that too Thank you Bob, actually there are a couple things about that. The price of the 240 is actually $450 most places $350 for the 220, and $400 for the older 230 model being phased out , Amazon seems to have 'run out' and it defaulted to one of their stores that has it at full retail, hence the $700 pricetag. The other thing I noticed was the options you listed from the comparison chart seem inaccurate not because of you , if you look at the photos of the console, the 220 has the Interval time, rpm, etc listed as well. I noticed them before while comparing the screens online.Sorry about that, I should have mentioned those details as one of the reasons I was looking for someone that knew the models personally. As the facts listed online seem a bit suspect.

I am setting up a home gym and I am looking at getting a piece of equipment for cardio though if it helps out other muscles I am fine with that . I am a mid twenties male so my body can take a bit of a beating, but I don't want to get a machine that will end up injuring me when my goal is to get in better shape ie I've heard treadmills can wreck joints .I have narrowed my choices down to two machines either a Nautilus NR3000 Recumbent Bike or a Concept2 Model D Rowing Machine.I think both are high quality but which form of exercise will get my overall body into the best shape in a healthy way?
Issues with the Schwinn 202 Recumbent exercise bike.?
My parents have owned one of these contraptions for about 2.5 years now and used it rarely. Recently my father attempted to use it but the computer did not start up thereby preventing full usage. I have called several places but nobody can seem to give me a straight answer. If anybody here knows or can find something to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there,So i've been looking into exercise bikes, and like the sound of recumbent exercise bikes, but the articles i have read don't really tell me a whole lot about the benefits beside it is more comfortable and good for people with bad backs and such.So while the recumbent sounds perfect for someone like me, will it actually do what i want an indoor exercise device to do.I am not terribly overweight, i am 6'1, and 73kg, and a woman. So i have some flab to lose and some muscle to gain.What i wish to achieve, without hurting myself further are Overall fitness, if i had to run from a monster, i'm not the person at the back of the crowd who is going to be gobbled up cos i had to stop for a breather Weight loss in my thighs, and some toning The ole tummy fat gone My upper arms toned, i believe i read something about using weights whilst pedaling?So I'd really appreciate some information regarding these bikes, especially from someone who has used one and reaped the benefits.
