Bathroom light fixture help!?
We think our light in our bathroom blew this morning and we have been trying to get the dome off all day but it won't turn either way. We stared tapping the side of the glass dome to see if that would loosen it up but when we do that the light will flicker. Do light fixtures with built in outlets still exist?
We have recently purchased a home built in 1964. Something I didn't even realize until after the purchase is that homes built back then have NO outlets in the bathroom. The only outlet is part of the light fixture above the mirror. We are wanting to replace this light fixture, but don't want to lose the only plug in the bathroom. Does anyone know if they still make light fixtures like this? I have looked online but I haven't found anything. Thanks

Is this damaged light fixture safe?
This past Thursday the 17th one of our outdoor light fixtures was blown off due to high winds. This fixture was very old and it resulted in the hood, light bulb 60 watt at most , and light bulb socket being ripped completely off. I haven't been able to get up there to look closer because we have been busy moving in but plan to tomorrow. As a precaution we have been keeping the light switch to the fixture off and have no noticed any sparking, smoking or bad smells. If indeed there are any bare wires...would it be safe to keep it as is until I can get them capped off or taped?

I know there is no 3 way LED bulb yet. My 3 way light fixture can be set to use 50, 100 or 150 watts. Can I replace the old bulb with LED bulb and keep the setting on 50 watts permanently? The LED light bulb actually just consumes 6 watts in this case.
