Should kitchen light fixtures match each other?
I found some track lighting that has red globes shades for my kitchen area lightinguniverse.com products view.aspx?sku 996516& linkLoc recent. this is read w a brushed steel base. The problem is for the connected eat in area, I want a pendant, but can't find anything similar or that I really like for that matter in red. Will it matter if the kitchen shades are red and the eat in area's is white? Or, should I give up on the red for the track lighting shades and stick to white? BTW, the kitchen is a tan khaki color Sherwin Williams Latte and will have a 5ft wide accent wall that has a white door on that wall. That wall color will be a red crimson color. Here's what I'm thinking for that area cgi.ebay.com ws eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& rd 1& item 260261613454& ssPageName STRK MEWA IT& ih 016 OR cgi.ebay.com ws eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& rd 1& item 290246731462& ssPageName STRK MEWA IT& ih 019.Please help BTW it's silver finish b c the appliances are stainless and the knowbs for the cabinets will be just dressing them up with knobs can't afford to redo them ... I was told they should coordinate with that. Plus, the kitchen opens to the family room w red furniture, silver lamps, and silver knobs. Furniture is dark expresso.
What to do about water leaking from a kitchen light fixture in an apartment ????
the landlord seems to be taking their time and there are young children living here. what can i do to get this resolved???
Replaced kitchen light fixture. now it is dim. what happen. it is tray like with long bulbs.?
How difficult is it to replace an electronic ballast in a kitchen light fixture?
I have a strange electrical problem. Our kitchen light went out, and after several weeks, suddenly came back on. It remained functional for several weeks, then went back out again. During this time it would intermittently go out for several minutes, and come back on. Both of the bulbs were very dark so we replaced them, to no avail. Everyone we spoke to advised us to buy a new fixture, as the ballast would be more expensive to replace. Oddly enough, I ordered a new, electronic ballast from the manufacturer Sunpark Electronics for $6.50. The fixture sells at Home Depot for $85. Can anyone tell me if they think a new ballast will resolve the problem? I'm also curious to know why the electricians & diy'ers were so certain the ballast would cost more than a new fixture. Admittedly, I haven't tested anything as I am respectful of something I know very little about, and quite frankly...it scares me Thanks in advance.
Water leaking through my kitchen light fixture and my ceiling, what do i do?

My kitchen light fixture is not working right?
it flickers, even put in a new bulb and still flickers.I live in a mobile home the light is the long kind. HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
Help! I have a leak in my kitchen light fixture that caused the light to suddenly turn on (can't turn off).?
Anyone know what is the best course of action? It is raining heavily and has been for 2 days. I'm guessing that I should turn off the electricity and remove the bulb and then wait for drier days to get it repaired. It is raining so much that I don't want to have anything to do with electricity. Any suggestions? The light switch was off when the light came on by itself. Now the switch does nothing to turn it off.
My kitchen light fixture has 2 black and 2 white wires and a ground wire. What does that mean?
One of the black and white ones are intertwined. What does this mean?
What does your kitchen light fixture look like? Pendants? Recessed lights? Flush mount?

Need to fix fluorescent kitchen lights- fixtures not lighting up completely. Any ideas?
I bought new bulbs for my 2 kitchen lights thinking my bulbs were burned out but they're still not working right. I have a round fluorescent light fixture as well as a fixture that contains 6 very long lights. I turn the switch on & it turns on but very very faintly like it's not getting enough power or something. Is this something I can fix myself or should I call an electrician? I don't have too much experience with this stuff but do have a little bit of general knowledge. Any ideas anyone?
Kitchen Light Fixture Ideas?
Currently, I have a big fluorescent box light in my kitchen the work area where the cabinets and appliances are I have a separate eat in dining area and the light there is fine . Not only is the box fixture itself boring, but I despise the type of light it gives off, so I rarely even turn it on. I am trying to decide what type of light fixture I should replace it with but am having a hard time envisioning something else. Does it need to be a flush to ceiling mount or can it drop down a few inches? Any ideas are welcome. Even though I don't currently use the light much, I would like something that does give off some cozy, welcoming light. Definitely not interested in a ceiling fan. THANKS
