My cousin just got a great job & salary. She's in $40,000 debt, though. She's going to be making more than enough money to pay this off in the next couple of years. However, she is very impulsive and tends to spend a lot of money. I want to get her some good books for her b day that will ensure a more secure future any suggestions for books or suggestions in general? Like what percentage of income goes towards living, food, transportation, savings, etc. Thanks

How to Budget your money.?
What would be the best way to budget your money when you have most of your bills due from the 1st of the month though the 15th. Then have a few bills due throughout the month.. Then have daycare taken out weekly.. I get paid on the 15th and the 30th or 31st depending on the month. Then my husband gets paid every other week.. We just can t find the best way to budget. Some weeks there are times were would could go without 2 or even 3 weeks without getting paid.. It s different all the time it just depends on how the months are. Can anyone help me Thanks

For us, we have been tediously monitoring our expenses and cutting out necessary things like eating out, shopping..etc and reducing our tv phone internet expenses.
How do you budget your money when you get paid every four weeks?
My fiance gets paid every 4 weeks. I'm just wondering how to mange this as the date keeps slipping back. E.g., he got paid on the 8th Jan but this time it will be the 2nd april and so on. Just wondered if anyone in a similar position had any tips.
What do you do to better manage/budget your money?
I just need some advice, because I'm 19 and commuting to college, and I seem to be TERRIBLE at budgeting money, no matter how hard I try. Since commuting, I've been living off of $40 a week. About $25 of that is used for gas and the other $15 is spent here and there on food. Food at college is expensive without a meal plan, and there's nothing I can buy in the store for lunch that wouldn't require a microwave unless it was a sandwich, which I don't want to eat everyday.Just last week Thursday , I was given an extra $150 that was supposed to last me for at least two weeks, and now, Monday, I only have about $10 left and nothing to show for it. All I remember is buying a $25 bus ticket and $25 on gas. Where did the rest go? I even tried putting half of it in the bank and it's still gone. What advice do you have for me?I am on campus 5 days a week, but only eat lunch when I'm there. I eat dinner at home. If I want to eat good food that the campus cooks, it's never less than $5.50. There's also a Chipotle, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Burger King across the street.
